Kevin M. Collopy, one of the principal attorneys of Drake & Collopy, P.C., has dedicated his legal career to representing injury and accident victims of all types. He has successfully recovered tens of millions of dollars in compensation on behalf of clients in personal injury, workers’ compensation, wrongful death, medical and dental malpractice, construction negligence, animal attack, dram shop, and products liability cases. He has concentrated his practice on the representation of personal injury and workers’ compensation clients since joining Drake & Collopy, P.C. in early 1999. Mr. Collopy was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota. He moved to Chicago to attend undergraduate studies at the Illinois Institute of Technology, where he obtained a degree in aerospace engineering. Subsequently, he worked as a design engineer on a U.S. government cruise missile project as well as on commercial aircraft structures for General Dynamics in San Diego, California. He subsequently returned to Chicago and worked as a mechanical engineer while attending law school at Chicago-Kent College of Law. After being admitted to the bar, he joined Paul I. Drake in his law practice. His technical training and experience have been invaluable throughout his career in analyzing the complex legal and technical issues that often accompany personal injury cases.
